That could at least add a bit of Christmas romance for you. You may also want to get yourself a poinsettia. A poinsettia usually comes with a whitish or reddish color and is usually referred to as a Christmas plant that families put in the house.

And of course no house would be complete without putting up some stockings on the fireplace. Though it need not be placed near the fireplace all the time but it should be somewhere visible. Having these Christmas decorations should create the spirit of Christmas which will liven up the coming holidays for your family.

Lavender “Hidcote” is one such plant that is easy to take care of. It has grayish green foliage and pretty purple spikes of flowers. These flowers usually bloom in the month of June. It is easy to maintain because it does not require much water and it smells good.

Another flower is the Coneflower. They come in a variety of beautiful colors of light pink, dark pink, fair pink, peach pink, white and many more. They can grow as much as a medium-sized plant to a tall plant and usually blooms around mid-summer or late summer.

The Butterfly Bush grows in various sizes from four feet to eight feet or even more. This blooms for a long time especially after removing the finished flowers. It is also enduring against drought. Butterflies usually fly around this plant hence the name.

If you are looking for a plant that is really easy to take care of then you may want to get yourself a Catmint “walker’s low”. It is usually adorn with blooming flowers on it which makes it very attractive to the eye of anyone. It can grow to about twelve inch high and can grow even wider so better to have more space for it to grow.

The last would be Sedum “Autumn Joy”. It usually blooms by end of summer and continues late into fall unlike the flowers mentioned prior. It has a gentle, fair pinkish colored flower and complements ornamental glasses. What’s great about this plant is that you do not need to water it much since it does not like being wet that much.
